The ‘Product Prize Competition for Hungarian Animal Breeding and Crop Production’, advertised for the exhibitors, is a traditional accompanying event of the annual ‘Animal Breeding Days of the Great Hungarian Plain’ held in Hódmezővásárhely.
The awards ceremony of the ‘Product Prize Competition 2018’ was held in Hódmezővásárhely on 18 April 2018, where the winners received illustrious distinctions. The competition words were presented in public by the presidents of the juries. The award-winning competition work was appraised by Prof. Dr. Márta Birkás, DSc (Doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences), Professor of the Department of Agriculture, Crop Production Institute, Faculty of Agriculture and Environmental Science, Szent István University in the crop production category, and by Dr. Zsombor Wagenhoffer, PhD, Executive Director of the Hungarian Animal Breeders’ Association in the animal breeding category.
A total of 31 applications were submitted for the Product Prize for Hungarian Animal Breeding, and the jury evaluated the submitted competition works in three categories. With its PigCare Piglet-saving Program, Bonafarm-Bábolna Feed Ltd., a member company of Bonafarm Agriculture, was awarded place I in the nutrition category of the Product Prize for Animal Breeding, the category in which the highest number of competition works were submitted.
