In the competition entitled ‘Product Prize for Hungarian Agriculture 2017’ of the 24th (XXIV) Animal Breeding and Agricultural Days of the Great Hungarian Plain – International Trade Expo and Fair, Bonafarm-Bábolna Feed Ltd. was awarded the first prize
for its technical application entitled ‘GMO-free cattle nutrition program and products’.
The prize award ceremony took place on 19 April 2017 in Hódmezővásárhely. A total of 36 competition works were submitted for the crop production and animal breeding product prizes; of them, 25 applications submitted by 19 companies competed for the an
imal breeding prizes.
The most important criteria of evaluation were as follow: Hungarian ownership, domestic development, manufacturing and servicing, time of introducing the product to the market, timeliness, novelty value and innovative character of the product or development, scientifically well-founded benefits, the number of references, the market share and the standard of the material entered into the competition.
Our company submitted three competition materials. The precision feed formulation system based on the NIR network and the genetics-specific pig diets were recognised by a diploma, while the GMO-free project was awarded a first prize by the jury. By winning this first prize, Bonafarm-Bábolna Feed Ltd. achieved an outstanding result among the applicants from the animal nutrition sector.
