Recognitions of Bábolna Takarmány

The MagyarBrands program has been recognising the most successful Hungarian brands for 15 years. Its mission has not changed during the years: it aims to draw the attention of consumers and the business world to the products and services of the most successful Hungarian consumer, business or innovative brands.

Only Hungarian brands are eligible for MagyarBrands, brands that were either founded in Hungary or Hungarian people have contributed to their establishment.
The aim of this award is to recognise the brands and draw the attention of Hungarian consumers to brands that stand out in the Hungarian market based on their values and by being reliable and reputable.

Bábolna Takarmány Magyar Brands 2024MagyarBrands awards prizes in three main categories:

  1. Excellent Business Brands: Awarded to companies that operate successfully, have a strong market presence and provide high quality products or services continuously.
  2. Excellent Consumer Brands: Brands that are well known to consumers and are renowned for their quality and reliability.
  3. Innovative Brands: This prize is awarded to companies that have implemented major innovations or commercialised innovations thus providing added value.

The winners are selected by a professional jury and on the basis of consumer research. The jury evaluates many aspects of a brand, such as reputation, identity and financial performance. The award helps winning brands in strengthening their market position and increasing consumer trust.

Bábolna Takarmány SuperbrandsThe Superbrands award is an international initiative, offered to businesses in over 90 countries, among them in Hungary. This year the 17-year-old program focuses on the best B2B brands, Hungarian companies and brands that partner mainly with businesses and organisations, rather than consumers.
The prize is awarded based on the reputation, performance and consumer trust of the brand, and the use of the Superbrands award seal is a “guarantee” of quality.

The first step in selection is to compile a list of 4000 companies based on the database of Dun&Bradstreet and recommendations from major Hungarian professional organisations and associations. This list is then filtered by financial and professional criteria before the professional committee decides on the award.  This list will contain domestic companies with huge profits and smaller enterprises – based on the recommendation of chambers of commerce, professional associations – that excel in the business world and have outstanding communication and branding practices.

The Superbrands status can be attained in two main categories:

  1. Business Superbrands: This is awarded to business brands with outstanding performance that are also renowned within the professional and the business community.
  2. Consumer Superbrands: Consumer brands can attain the Superbrands status if they are widely known and are popular with consumers.

The award will ultimately be decided by a non-branded professional committee. Selection criteria include brand awareness, reliability and long-term market presence and stability.
This recognition may also serve as a guide when choosing quality brands.

This year Bonafarm-Bábolna Takarmány Ltd. has received the MagyarBrands award for the ninth time and the Superbrands award for the fourth time.
